Finally A Real Choice In Real Estate Selling
03 Jun 10
Click On Realestate - Press Release
Following in the footsteps of the UK and USA, Click On Realestate has introduced a method called ‘Agency Assisted’ selling which will save Queensland property owners thousands of dollars in commission and advertising charges when they sell their home. Click On Realestate empowers homeowners to take back some control over the selling process and gives them a real choice.
Like most home owners, Sam Dimauro knew his own property better than anyone else. Sam said “I sold my home without an agent telling me that they knew how to do it better…I got a lot of satisfaction doing it myself and saved myself over $11,000 in commission and $4,000 on advertising. Click On Realestate makes it so easy to list your own property on websites like realestate.com.au, it’s like DIY without the headache”. With a few clicks of a button, the property owner can take control of the process. They can create and amend their own ad, list their property on all the major and proven websites, then meet the buyer and make the sale.
Surveys have shown that well over 75% of homebuyers use the internet before contacting an agent*. These people don’t need an agent to tell them about potential properties, market price and trends, as all the information and figures are widely available these days.
Homebuyers Andrew and Di McCarthy said “Dealing with click on realestate has just been so easy! It is so different to the traditional high pressure tactics and real-estate double talk we are used to. It was great to be able to meet the current owners and find out a little of the history about the land they were selling…When the time came to discuss price, I loved that the buyer and vendor get to talk directly. In one 15 minute conversation we had agreed on a price and settlement terms we are both happy with and set a time to sign contracts the following day. I can’t believe how quickly it all happened! You can bet if we had to deal through a third party it would have taken over a week to do what we did in two days. Click on Realestate have really hit upon a great model for selling real estate - Low fees and commissions, low interference and highly effective internet marketing”.
Finally, there is a real choice in real estate selling.

Ever Wondered How to Peel a Pomegranate?
17 May 10
We've all heard about the health and nutritional benefits that the pomegranate fruit boasts, but have you ever wondered how the chefs in fancy restaurants have the patience to separate each and every seed to make tasty desserts or even how to begin juicing such a tricky-looking fruit? Read on for some basics on what to do with your pomegranate once you are home from the supermarket..!
How to peel a pomegranate
To peel a pomegranate, first cut off the crown and gently scoop out some of the centre core without disturbing the seeds. With a sharp knife, score just through the outer rind around the fruit in quarters. Put your thumb in the core center and gently pull apart the sections. Peel away the inner white papery skin covering the seeds and discard. Gently invert the skin inside out and the seeds will pop out to be easily removed without bruising.
How to separate pomegranate seeds
The unadorned, fresh seed pips make a beautiful edible and colourful garnish. This is why you will see them used often on gourmet dishes from salads to entrees to desserts. They work with every course. To facilitate separation of the white membrane from the pips, place cut pieces in a bowl of cold water and gently separate the juicy seeds. The membrane pieces should float to the top of the water for easy separation.
How to juice a pomegranate
If you want the juice, but not the seeds, you have a number of options:
- Use a food mill to grind fresh juice from the seeds, leaving the seeds trapped in the mill.
- Pulse the pips in a blender with short bursts and strain.
- Cut the fruits in half crosswise and ream them as you would a lemon.
- Place the seeds in a sealed plastic freezer bag and roll over them with a rolling pin.
You can also slow cook the seeds in a little water in a crockpot or on the stovetop, and press through a sieve or cheesecloth to remove the seeds. This method takes more time but results in less bitterness.
Finally, enjoy the fruits of your labour! Ideas on how to cook the pomegranate with our pomegranate recipes coming up soon..
Pomegranates Are Catching On!
03 May 10
The pomegranate is not a particularly common fruit in Australia and it tends to cost slightly more than 'everyday' fruit like apples and bananas. However, since the launch of Pomegranate Marketing there seem to be articles raving about the health benefits of the juice everywhere I look. Pomegranate juice in every shape and size bottle line the shelves of supermarkets: in Melbourne last week, they even had pomegranate chai tea on offer. So it turns out the pomegranate not only has a catchy name (which no-one can spell) but the fruit is indeed, catching on.
Nutritional Benefits
The highly restorative medicinal values of this fruit have been known since ancient times but only recently been rediscovered. Pomegranates have a very high content of punicalagins, a potent anti-oxidant component found to be responsible for its superior health benefits. Impressively, researchers indicate that the capacity of anti-oxidant in this fruit is two or three times higher than that of red wine and green tea. The level in pomegranates is even higher than those of other fruits recognised as having high-levels of anti-oxidant - blueberries, cranberries and oranges. This is attributed to the very high polyphenol content in the fruit. Pomegrantes are also a good source of vitamin B (riboflavin, thiamin and niacin), vitamin C, calcium and phosphorus. This combination and the other minerals in pomegranates cause a powerful synergy that prevents and reverses many diseases.
Health Benefits
A new study has shown that the frequent drinking of pomegranate juice is beneficial in fighting the hardening of arteries (atherosclerosis): it reduces the oxidation of bad LDL cholesterol which contributes to artery clogging and hardening. Not only does the juice significantly reduce the blood vessel damage, it is actually found to reverse the progression of this disease. Another study positively proved that pomegranates contain a powerful agent against cancer, particularly prostate cancer.
Here are some common ailments that are known to react positively with the use of pomegranate or its juice:
Anti-ageing: We all know that anti-oxidant is highly effective in helping to protect the skin from free radical damage known to cause signs of ageing.
Anaemia: Add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon with a little honey to a cup of pomegranate juice. Especially beneficial for women after monthly loss of blood due to menstruation.
Asthma: The high content of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in this fruit is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent. It can greatly reduce wheezing in young children with asthma.
Atherosclerosis: The highly cleansing power of this miracle juice scrubs away the old build-up of arterial deposits, reducing the risks of heart diseases and stroke.
Cancer prevention: The high anti-oxidant content protects cells from damages by free radicals. Regularly drinking juices high in anti-oxidants keep cancer at bay.
Cholesterol: Drinking juices high in anti-oxidant has been proven to fight the oxidative stress that is the main culprit in oxidizing the bad LDLs in the blood.
Diarrhoea: Drinking fresh pomegranate juice is an excellent remedy to soothe the pain and inflammation caused by severe diarrhoea with blood and mucus in stools.
Immune booster: The anti-oxidant nutrients in pomegranates are critical in building up your immune system. Drink juice high in anti-oxidant when you feel a cold coming.
Loss of Appetite: If you can't eat, at least you can drink! Pomegranate juice can help increase your appetite.
Morning Sickness/nausea: Mix and drink an equal amount of honey with pomegranate juice for relief.
Sore Throat: The anti-inflammatory agent in pomegranate juice significantly reduces the soreness and redness in the throat.
Working IN or ON Your Business
27 Apr 10
You spend time working IN your business, but how often do you spend quality time working ON your business?
When the doors open for business each day and the phone begins to ring, all those good intentions to concentrate on "planning the next marketing strategy", "sorting out a website" and 'writing that press release" go out the window! Although these things might not seem crucial to the everyday running of the business, in the long term they really can make the difference between a business that succeeds, and one that fails.
For many people who run small businesses, time, or the lack of it, is the most common hurdle preventing people from working ON their business. Often people find they don't have the time to educate themselves and keep abreast of the latest and greatest online and offline marketing techniques, let alone write an entire marketing strategy or create a website from scratch!
When a lot of small businesses start out, they are very conscious of not spending any more money than they absolutely need to. This often means people wrestle with tasks such as doing their own bookkeeping late into the night and on weekends, in order to keep the accounts up to date. Although people are often aware that they don't enjoy doing these types of chores, they sometimes don't appreciate how much quicker (and better!) a professional could have done the task for them.
How long do you think it would take you to write a press release? How long would it take you to create a media list to distribute the press release effectively? Now consider what you could have been doing with the 'down time' you spent to complete these tasks, and work out how much money you could have been making if you had used the time more productively, concentrating on your strengths.
"Time is money". So if you would like to spend quality time working ON your business, save more money, get more bang for your marketing buck, or all of the above, consider hiring a professional. Pomegranate Marketing offers an array of services and can tailor the level of support to suit your business and budget.
